8:30 am – Classroom presentations on offshore, bottom, inshore and fly fishing, followed by lunch and hands-on fishing skills until 4:30 pm at the Elks. For a more complete description click HERE. Bonus Fishing Day! Additional fishing offered Friday and Monday! If you want to fish on Friday or Monday for the Bonus Fishing Days see Rates below. For bonus fishing days (in addition to Sunday fishing) we may allow adult male guests to fill the boats so you can get out fishing. Contact us if you wish to bring a guest. NOTE for those signing up for Bonus Fishing – Our form only allows for Sunday fishing and one day of Bonus Fishing. Fishing Rates (Optional/additional, Rates are per person. Coming alone? Don’t worry, no need to fill the boat, we do it for you!)
New! Couples/Guest Fishing offered on Sunday as well as Friday and Monday, upon request! Those who want to bring a male or female guest who is not registered for the seminar for fishing on Sunday, please put in the notes section name of other person and fishing choice, do not pay for fishing and we will invoice you when we have enough to fill the boat. Our rates are per person so they or you will need to cover the cost of their fishing. Same cancellation policy applies for registrants and fishing guests.
$55 Fishing from Party Boat (9:30am-1:30 pm, $5 gratuity not incl.) Bottom fish for grouper and snapper, perhaps mackerel! Includes use of rod/reel.
$220 Backcountry/Flats Fishing (3/4 day approx. 7 am – 1:30), gratuity and not incl., 3-4 persons/per boat) Fish for snook, tarpon, trout, redfis, bonefish and more. If you are on a boat that only takes 2 you will be advised of upgrade fees.
$200 Offshore Sportfishing Boat (3/4 day approx. 7 am – 1:00), gratuity not incl., 6 persons/per boat) Fish for sailfish, kingfish, wahoo, dolphin and more!
$135 Guided Kayak Fishing BRING YOUR OWN TACKLE out of Robbies Marina, half day 8:30 – 12:30. Includes kayak for one person, life vests, paddles, coolers and dry bags. You will need a fishing license and your own tackle, no tackle supplied.
NO LONGER AVAILABLE $170 Guided Kayak Fishing including TACKLE RENTAL out of Robbies Marina, half day 8:30 – 12:30. Incl. everything above PLUS rod & reel rental, rental tackle boxes, leaders, hooks, artificial bait, live bait and weights. You will need a fishing license and perhaps a pair of plyers.
For all kayak fishing: There is no discount for those who bring their own kayak at this time. Anyone going kayak fishing needs to concentrate on learning tying knots, releasing and skills on Saturday. The guide is near but not like the other options where they are on the boat with you. Great learning experience!
Bonus Fishing Days! Once you have secured your fishing for Sunday, Nov. 16 you are eligible to add BONUS FISHING DAYS on Friday, Monday or both. You do not have to do the same type of fishing. You can go offshore fishing on Sunday and inshore for bonus fishing day to have an awesome fishing experience! Note: Cancellation terms apply the same for bonus fishing days. Come early, stay late! FULL DAY FISHING! Rates based on full boats.

For Bonus Fishing you can opt to donate your fish to be served as appetizers for the Friday evening party, or keep it! Note: Our form allows you to sign up for the regular fishing on Sunday and only one day of Bonus Fishing, Friday or Monday. If you want to fish Sunday, plus Friday AND Monday please contact us so we can invoice you for the extra day. For Bonus fishing we may have to combine women and couples to fill a boat
WAIT LIST PROCEDURE (For Fishing only, there’s still space in the class):
As it gets close to the event we start a waiting list for fishing until your boat is full and can be booked. Cancellations can either cause you to be on the wait list or take you off the wait list. If you cannot fish your desired option, we will notify you of your choices or refund your fishing fee if the boats are full. Go ahead and pay for what you want. If you have a second choice, put it in the “Notes” category on your registration. Those who registered early don’t have to be concerned about the wait list. We still have openings for all boat categories except kayak fishing.
THIS WILL BE A VERY BUSY WEEKEND IN THE KEYS SO DON’T WAIT VERY LONG TO BOOK YOUR OVERNIGHT ROOM!
The Tavernier Elks is Mile Marker 92 (MM 92). this is where the Friday party and the Saturday educational day will be held.
