You missed it! Over 60 participated in a fun day of learning, networking and laughs. Sunday was all about fishing.
Popular Mini-University! Much of what you get at our full universities but in one afternoon!
Just completed: March 14-15, 2015 There is only one Gulf Coast event so sign up for our mailing list to be notified of next year’s Gulf Coast event – or, join us at another location to learn different types of fishing!
Come back this week to see photos of the 2015 event in our news section and photo gallery page.
If you’re tight on time this event is for you! In one afternoon you get to learn from speakers and have that precious one-on-one time at the skill tables with experienced captains! Then opt for fishing on Sunday where inshore fishing is king. Matlacha (pronounced Mat-La-SHA) means waist deep in American Indian, where the surrounding waters are shallow and hold redfish, snook, trout, snapper and more. At the end of Saturday’s events, we go to a local restaurant so you can mingle with the others and make new fishing buddies. You do not need to bring any fishing equipment, we cover that!
Matlacha is a tiny island in the Pine Island area, just off the coast of Ft. Myers where it gets really pretty! Matlacha resembles old Key West. This is an awesome place to learn and go fishing inshore, where waters are calm and you are near land!
Are you ready to learn from the pros? Hands on one-on-one seminars teaching you how to tie knots, throw a cast net, learn fly casting and much more! Meet new friends and network with an extraordinary group of people- people like you who love the outdoors! No experience needed! We even supply the tackle.
