A limited number of scholarships are available for women to learn fishing skills at the “Ladies, Let's Go Fishing!”® seminars. Funding for the scholarships is provided by the Florida Foundation for Responsible Angling.

To apply, single mothers as well as other women in a low income bracket, ages 21 and up can email a short paragraph about their situation, why they want to take the course and contact information, with "scholarship" in the subject line. Requests will only be accepted via mail and email and must be submitted no later than two weeks in advance of the seminar. Recipients will receive a registration worth $135-150. Party boat fishing on Sunday is included. They will need to provide transportation. The scholarships do not include hotel rooms and expenses other than what is covered in the registration costs and party boat fishing. Requests must be made in advance of each seminar, preferably two weeks.
